Illumix continues to grow its commercial team, and as a result a requirement has arisen for an additional pre-sales engineer.

Key Requirements

Ability to understand sophisticated technology and help the sales people present it in terms of business benefits. This is a wide-ranging and rewarding role which ranges from the relatively straightforward realm of technical presentations and onsite demonstrations to working closely with clients’ technical staff in the deployment of initial trials and proof of concept projects.

While there is a definite advantage in being within commuting distance of Guildford, which is our corporate headquarters, or the City of London, which is where most of our customers are based, the flexibility to be able to work effectively from for a part of the time is available.

Beneficial Skills and Experience

Candidates need to have at least five years solid pre-sales or technical consulting experience with a major vendor of either networking or business intelligence software, in-depth experience of network transmission protocols, and demonstrable knowledge of SQL and UNIX. Anyone with a development background, and with formal IT qualifications, is likely to be particularly suited to this role, and the culture of the company.
